Things I'm starting to dislike about Boulder and Colorado....maybe the United States? Also a running list

  • Somehow we're still racist
  • Also there was a really terrible shooting at my grocery store in 2021 and there are even more now all over the country but we have to keep our freedom or whatever.
  • I think the US still hates women. They don't let women take charge of their bodies and unwanted pregnancies that could maybe kill them. They also don't like children who are already alive since they won't stop them from being shot to death in schools.
  • Boulder tries to come off as super woke but they definitely dislike poor people. They are always voting down cheap housing.
  • Even shitty houses are a million dollars so millennials with only upper-middle-class incomes are basically doomed.
  • Moving every single year from rental to rental.
  • It's above 90 degrees ALOT in the summer
  • There's always traffic going into the mountains on the weekends.
  • Trails are crowded.
  • People on trails always wear really expensive hiking gear and go to expensive fitness classes and yet can't be bothered to walk on the trail or up some rough stairs to just get a little dirty and do difficult things. What's the point then?
  • People are always trying to one-up each other in being rad.
  • Google moved in a bunch of highly paid people and didn't hire in-town like they said, then they drove housing prices up because it's till cheaper than California
  • The people they invited in like to hold 14er signs.
  • Everyone thinks they need a ginormous car which is weird because gas is expensive and I drive trucks for work to actually haul things and they're only okay.
